Binance Releases Important Update for Cryptocurrency Community

In January 2024, the project team announced the upcoming sunset of the BNB Beacon Chain (BEP2) within the next few months.

Binance is committed to supporting the BEP2 network sunset plan to ensure a seamless transition for users. The Binance team has been actively collaborating with all listed projects utilizing tokens on the BEP2 network to facilitate a smooth migration process for their token holders.

Prior to the BEP2 network sunset, users are advised to deposit BEP2 Binance-pegged tokens (B-tokens) into their Binance accounts. These tokens will be credited, allowing users to subsequently withdraw them via their native chain or other chains supported by Binance.

Key Points to Note:

• Immediate suspension of B-token withdrawals on the aforementioned network.
• Withdrawals for all other tokens on the aforementioned network will be supported until February 21, 2024, 23:59 (UTC). After this deadline, withdrawals via the aforementioned network will be unavailable, and users must use other supported networks for withdrawals, where applicable.
• Deposits of B-tokens and selected tokens on the aforementioned network will continue to be supported until further notice. Users can refer to the deposit status page for updates.
